Immigration

Official record of Winifred and Marjorie's entrance into the UK

Record of British Citizens entry into the UK.After her first marriage apparently failed, Winifred (who was about 7 months pregnant with Kelvin) returned to England on the SS Otranto II with daughter Marjorie. Her two eldest children [Ronald and Royston] stayed with their father in Australia. All contact with both husband and sons was lost. In later life she refused point blank to discuss this part of her life feeling that 'the past is gone and should be forgotten', it has therefore proved impossible to determine what occurred in Australia between 1919 an 1926.
